PARTheory's greater (but not exclusive) emphasis on individuals' own perceptions or subjective appraisals of their parents' (or other attachment figures') accepting or rejecting behaviors than on outsiders' (e.g., researchers') appraisals of individuals' experiences. (See indeterminance in human behavior;  probability model)
