Procedure

A specific measurement process. That is, a procedure is a single assessment device, measure, or technique of data collection such as interviewing or the use of questionnaires. Each of these is a single, coherent, and integrated procedure for collecting information, and is to be distinguished from a methodology. (See universalist approach; convergence of methodologies)
